Reverend Samuel Willard, born 1640, died in 1707, the son of Major Simon Willard.

In 1678 he became pastor of the Old South Church in Boston, Mass. and remained there until his death. He was also the President of Harvard College from 1701, until his death. He is considered to be the last of the Puritan Preachers. He was a renowned preacher and writer of high esteem, his main work was the folio book titled  "magnum opus", "A Compleat Body of Divinity".
While he was pastor of the Old South Church in Boston, among the children he baptized  was ........    Benjamin Franklin.
